Natalie was born in Bogota, Colombia and moved to White Plains, NY with her family at age six. She comes from a family of educators who laid the foundation for her innovative teaching style. At fifteen, Natalie took the opportunity to be a camp counselor at a facility serving children in Special Education, where her passion for speech and language pathology was unlocked. After graduating high school she enrolled at Iona University in New Rochelle, NY where she pursued her Bachelor of Arts degree in Speech Language Pathology and Audiology. In 1998, she began working in a special needs preschool and, in 2003, earned her Masters of Science degree in Communication Disorders from Mercy University in Dobbs Ferry, NY. While in graduate school, Natalie was awarded the Minority Student Leadership Award by the American Speech and Hearing Association.
Natalie moved to the Atlanta area in 2004 and continued to flourish in her field by working as a speech therapist for the Cobb County School District for eleven years. By the end of her tenure with the district she had become the leader of the county's Bilingual Diagnostician team. While working in Cobb, Natalie also completed her Specialist Degree in Teaching and Learning from Piedmont College. Looking to continue her professional growth, Natalie took a position at the Atlanta Speech school where she worked from 2015-2020. In 2019 she also opened her own private practice in Marietta. During the 2020-2021 school year, she worked at Mill Springs Academy to start the speech and language program for the lower school in addition to being part of the student support E4 team. Natalie's experience includes working in clinics, home health, and with Babies Can't Wait.
Natalie lives in Marietta, GA with her husband, Dr. Andrew Kutscher, who is also an educator. They have two beautiful middle school daughters and enjoy traveling, cooking, shopping, exercising and trying new restaurants together.
